AMACO - Ancient Copper

PC-56. Inspired by classic tomato red reduction glazes, Ancient Copper is an iridescent, iron red glaze that breaks dark brown over texture and pools dark yellow-green, giving it a weathered appearance.

Ancient Copper is a satin at cone 5, and more glossy with metallic floats at cone 6. Avoid slow-cooling cycles when firing. 

The Potter's Choice glaze series was designed with the potter in mind. These stunning glazes add fluid colours and effects to smooth or textured ware, with optimal results at Cone 5 & 6.

While this glaze can be fired up as high as Cone 10, colour variation may apply. It is recommended you conduct testing first to verify the colours on your chosen clay body.
